In honour of World Environment Day, watch this video for a quick look at what it was like to take part in a climate protest

On May 24, 2019, hundreds of young people took to the streets of Toronto to protest for environmental justice. The march was part of the “School Strike for Climate” movement started by Swedish teenager Greta Thunberg in August, 2018.
May 24, 2019 was also the 4th anniversary of the Catholic environmental encyclical Laudato Si’. Salt+Light was at the march filming for a future segment on Catholic environmental advocacy. Members of other Catholic organizations, including Development & Peace (Caritas Canada) were also there.
